Places - Woonbeurs Amsterdam and Studioditte

New fabrics patterns from Tas-ka are "coming soon"
You can see on the photo...... first taste ;-)

This week I went to see the Woonbeurs in Amsterdam. It is a Dutch fair for interior lovers. Not really children design orientated, what I found a bit pity. Many established brands (even IKEA ;-0!) Just few new, and fresh designs.  I enjoyed the most the stand by vt wonnen magazine. The green/grey pallet of colors and patterns is really talking to me right know. The Tas-ka stand was for me the most original arranged around construction from bunk beds. They exhibited already known designs, but this time they have a stand together with Snurk and Keecie.

I have actually spotted something for children room decoration!
"Studioditte", run by Marieke Dirks, Natasja Heesbeen and Endry van Zwam are having really nice, and consequent design line, for the small ones. Wall paper and paper decoration, are having simple and nice design patterns and colors. studioditte.nl

Inspiration - Maria Modeira- kase-fazshop

What do you think about an idea, to put a bag on the wall, instead of a painting or a drawing? When I saw the work of a Maria Modeira, from Portugal, I thought: this bag I will not cary, its just too beautiful! For me she is painting through her sawing machine. I really like the way she is putting the patterns and colors together. It looks so light and bright. Don't you think, it can be a beautiful inspiration for the pillows and patchwork  for some children room? I found her on kickcanandconkers blog , (with data:2009 ). How great has Maria Modeira, developed her talent through this 2 years! More of her work here :kase-fazshop

Today simple and beautiful work of Blanca Gomez. She is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in Madrid, Spain. I saw her work in some children shop in Paris and I really like it. Especially the wall sticker  'Mademoiselle under the rain ' was giving really great touch to the space.

Kidsonroof - new Fabric Collection

Kidsonroof is one of my favourite Dutch brands.
I was writing about it here : design-kidsonroof.
I discovered that they launch a new Fabric Collection this autumn. "Kidsonroofs landscape fabrics stand for a whole range of ecological bed linens, bibs and play mats. There are four different landscapes: tulip fields with floating balloons, intersecting roads with cars going in unknown directions, crop fields that are being harvested and green meadowlands with playing horses.
